MEET THE TEAM

ROBERT P. SANTORIELLA, born Somers, New York, April 22, 1966; preparatory education, Fordham University, Bronx, New York (B.S.; 1988); legal education, Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, Huntington, New York (J.D.; 1993).

Robert Santoriella is the founding partner of Santoriella DiTomaso, PC.  He was admitted to the New York State bar in 1994 and went into private practice in 1995. He has since built his law practice to staff more than ten full time attorneys who specialize in various fields of law.  Additionally, the firm employs a host of paralegals, legal assistants and administrators, and maintains three fully staffed offices in Brooklyn, New York and Westchester Counties.

Mr. Santoriella was instrumental in forging relationships with various unions and legal plans.  In so doing, Santoriella DiTomaso has become the main law firm, in Brooklyn, providing legal services to the members of the teachers unions (NYSUT, UFT), the Professional Employees Federation, Gold Cross, Nursing Home Worker’s Union, Laundry Worker’s Union, Signature and Hyatt Legal.

In 2008, Mr. Santoriella was appointed to serve on three prestigious Brooklyn Bar Association committees.  The Foundation Law Programs for the Public, The Grievance Committee and the Pro Bono Committee.  In addition to serving on the Pro Bono Committee, Mr. Santoriella’s firm donates over 350 hours a year in pro bono service to the Brooklyn Community.

Additionally, Mr. Santoriella is a published author and has recently signed a three book deal with SterlingHouse Publishing.  His first novel in the series is titled “Wrath” and is due to be out in 2009. www.wrathbooks.com.  Fifty percent of book sale proceeds will be donated to Mr. Santoriella’s charity, Blythedale Children’s Hospital. www.blythedale.org.
Robert Santoriella and his wife Cristina live in Putnam County with their twin boys Jake and Chase.  He is president of the Santoriella Family Foundation, a Charitable Leads Trust, started by his father, in which he administers family trust money and organizes donations to various charities.    In his spare time Robert Santoriella enjoys writing, golfing, and watching his sons play ice hockey. On the weekends in the fall he can be found coaching their flag football team.
